ABA – Services

FBS offers ABA Services in-home, school-based or at particular locations. Regardless of location, the FBS team strives to teach skills in carefully planned and controlled environments – this leads to a more accurate implementation of ABA techniques.

ABA Services and Techniques:

+Naturalistic or Incidental Teaching
+Discrete Trial Training
+Verbal Behavior
+Pivotal Response Training

Each of our ABA programs are individualized and developed according to a child’s specific needs, skill set, and developmental level. All services provided by FBS include a parent training component, which leads to confidence in utilizing ABA techniques. Parents learn how to use techniques to engage communication, social skills, play skills, executive functioning skills, and adaptive behavior. Specific behavior plans are developed which allows for generalization in the home and community. Research has demonstrated that most progress is achieved with consistent ABA services. Effectively utilizing everyday ABA techniques, the child makes substantial progress.

We are able to provide ABA services to

children ages 2-21 and their families.

> In-home ABA Services – A BCBA, or BCaBA, will develop a treatment plan to address areas of need across communication, social, academic, and behavioral domains. Our trained ABA technicians will work 1:1 with your child to deliver evidence based ABA therapy. BCBAs provide ongoing training, monitoring, and supervision.

> Parent Training – A BCBA, or BCaBA, will provide training based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis to your child’s immediate caregivers to ensure consistency when dealing with problem behaviors. BCBA, or BCaBA, will provide immediate feedback and ongoing monitoring of techniques and skills that have been trained.

> Behavior Management – A BCBA, or BCaBA, will work with the child’s family to determine target behaviors. Functional Behavior Assessment will be conducted to determine function of these behaviors. BCBA, or BCaBA, will create and train the family on the functionally-based behavior intervention plan. They will provide ongoing training, monitoring, and supervision.

> Assessments – A BCBA, or BCaBA, may conduct various assessments to help determine strengths and deficits for further intervention. Assessments may include intensive data collection methods, formal assessments, such as the ABBLS or VB- MAPP, and/or Functional Behavior Assessments.

> Food Refusal – A BCBA, or BCaBA, will develop a highly systemized plan to intervene when your child is exhibiting food refusal or food aversion.

> Community Social Outings – Once behaviors and skills have been demonstrated in the structured setting, your child may be encouraged to participate in community outings to promote generalization of the previously demonstrated skills.

> School Consulting – Our staff will work with your child’s school to help him/her continue to receive educational services in the least restrictive setting. BCBAs will collaborate with school staff to assess current interventions, train staff, conduct FBAs, and write behavior intervention plans.

> Toilet Training – Alongside the family, our staff will use a systematic and evidence-based approach to teach toilet training within your child’s home.
