PASS Services

We are part of the RI State program that supports Rhode Island Families with home- and community-based children with disabilities. The PASS program, funded through Medicaid, is a family-directed program that allows our dedicated workers to provide essential support to families like yours.

HOW DOES PASS HELP?

PASS provides tailored assistance to help children:

  • Develop Independence: Building skills for daily activities and routines.

  • Improve Self-Regulation: Learning strategies to stay safe and calm in challenging situations.

  • Strengthen Social Skills: Engaging in peer interactions and participating in home and community activities.

ELIGIBILITY

Children under the age of 21 may qualify if they:

  • Are enrolled in Medicaid.

  • Live at home with their family or legal guardians.

  • Have a chronic, moderate-to-severe cognitive, physical, developmental, or psychiatric diagnosis made within the past two years.

FAMILY'S ROLE

Families play an active role in the success of the PASS program by:

  • Collaborating with PASS agency staff to develop and update a customized PASS care plan.

  • Recruiting, training, and supervising their PASS worker for the designated service hours.
